It has almost been a year since Joan Rivers’ death.
The late eighty-one-year-old comedian/actress passed away September 4th, 2014 after medical procedure difficulties. Rivers’ daughter, Melissa Rivers shared with Entertainment Tonight where she decided to spread some of Joan’s ashes. Stating,
“Coop and I took our annual family vacation to Wyoming (The) first without my mom and scattered some of her ashes there so wecan still be together as a family."
Melissa has recently stepped into her mother’s role as a host for E!’s Fashion Police for the first time Monday since its hiatus. E!'s signature show was on a hiatus after Giuliana Rancic’s fashion comments about songstress, Zendaya earlier this year. Former co-host, Kelly Osbourne left the show due to Rancic’s comments and soon after, former host Kathy Griffin also called it quits.
What are Melissa’s plans to remember her mother’s one year anniversary? Having a glass of wine and spending time with her only child, Cooper. Both Cooper and Melissa have decided that “being okay” with Joan’s death is the best way to honor her legacy.
