The American Music Awards took place Sunday evening with Jennifer Lopez as the host, who also performed, which kept the audience on their feet. From Alanis Morissette and Demi Lovato's duet to Just Bieber closing the show, AMA's were a hit and for me, my three favorite moments are:
1. JLO:
The songstress kicked off the evening performing a 10-minute montage of this year's biggest songs! JLo also got emotional expressing that she has always dreamed of hosting the AMAs.
2. Nicki Minaj: Shade or no shade?
While JLo kicked performed a 10-minute montage that included Nicki Minaj's hit, "Anaconda", the camera then zoomed into Minaj as she expressed nothing but a stone cold vibe. Social media accused Minaj of throwing shade but according to Minaj herself, the rapper declared that she wasn't throwing shade and instead was looking at her own face on the camera to then turn back to focus on JLo via twitter.
Whatever you say, Nicki.
3. Celine Dion:
The infamous Celine Dion sang a tribute to Paris due to the attacks singing Edith Piaf's "Hymne a L'Amour". As Dion performed, audience members were fully engaged in the emotional performance, some in tears.
